We Didn’t Build Houses in Rumuokoro — We Built Joy (CCDL Social Impact)
We couldn’t build new homes or open up fresh land in Rumuokoro during the CCDL Social Impact month. But we built something far better: smile lines at the corners of people’s eyes, lips parted in bright laughter, clean steps, and movement falling into rhythm. We came to give the people of Rumuokoro a share of the Capital City experience.
It was unexpected, and yet we were welcomed warmly. After all, who walks out into the streets spreading so much joy that traders step away from their kiosks to join in? And they didn’t leave empty-handed; a good number of them were empowered with cash prizes. I doubt anyone who set out for Rumuokoro market that morning imagined the day would unfold this way.
Building a community rooted in good living has never been only about selling houses and land. Yesterday, we left our footprint along the road leading into one of the busiest hearts of Port Harcourt — Rumuokoro.
This is Our Social Impact Month
On Monday, 8th June 2026, we delivered on our social responsibility right in the middle of all the fun, coming together to sweep the streets of Port Harcourt.
This wasn’t a show staged for the cameras. It’s a ritual we observe every single month. If we say we are creating a community with a good living experience, then there has to be a way to live that out at every level, far beyond the walls of any estate.
And last two Mondays was only the tip of the iceberg.
